Taz (FKA Officer Barksdale) was brought to ACCT under extremely odd circumstances. He was found as a stray running on the shoulder of the Schuylkill Expressway by Police. To prevent him from running into traffic and accidentally getting struck by a car, Police had to tase him to bring him in.
While at ACCT, Taz grew sick with an upper respiratory infection and was subsequently timestamped. BUT time was on Taz’s side. A foster surfaced at the perfect moment, so that afternoon I went to ACCT to visit Taz and we were able to rescue him that day.
Taz’s foster mom and dad and new foster fur brother took amazing care of him and helped nurse him back to good health. One of his foster parent’s friends eventually expressed interested in adopting Taz and, as they say, the rest is history.
He came to their house to meet Taz, fell in love and they have been inseparable ever since. It’s hard not to love Taz, with his adorable smile that can melt any heart.
Taz is living the dream now with a large yard, a large in-ground pool and a family who absolutely adores him. He enjoys relaxing outside, affectionate cuddles and major belly rubs. How Taz ended up on the Schuylkill Expressway is unknown, but his future is bright and full of love. If anyone deserves a storybook ending, it’s Taz.
